The EcoFemSkills Tenerife Travelogue documents a crucial training activity, the third of the EcoFemSkills project, held from November 13 to 16 in Tenerife. This training aimed to materialize project objectives in a practical, experimental, and experiential way, enabling participants to gain crucial information for adult education courses. It focused on informal education that leverages participants' existing life skills to connect with activities benefiting both society and the natural environment. The goal was to provide real-life examples of grassroots initiatives, motivate participants about project topics, and empower them to be creative, fostering inclusive and cooperative mentalities.

The training was hosted by two partners from Tenerife:

Attendees included partners from Patras:

Key activities during the training included visits and workshops:

A significant aspect of the EcoFemSkills project is the integration of practical plastic recycling and transformation using machinery. The experience highlighted a strong interest in the creative repurposing of recycled plastic into artistic and novel products. However, it also noted that the technical skills development for actual plastic recycling requires more incentives and continuous guided work. This insight directly informs the development of the new workshop in Patras, which aims to address these practical skills and will report on its progress. The international activity offered experiential learning opportunities for women from environments with fewer opportunities, providing insights into their interaction with the project's topics.
